Fieni este un oraş în judeţul Dâmboviţa, Muntenia, România. În componenţa oraşului intră şi localităţile Berevoeşti şi Costeşti
În perioada 1865-1923 Fieni era un sat în cadrul comunei Moţăieni. În 1923 a fost declarat comună, având primărie proprie. În 1950 a fost declarat localitate de tip urban (centru muncitoresc) pentru ca în 1968 să devină oraş.

Între 1970 şi 2003, aproximativ 1600 de femei provenind din triburile Samburu din nordul Keniei, au fost violate de soldaţii englezi. Dezonorând astfel comunitatea, femeile au fost expulzate din triburi.
Ele au format astfel un nou trib, pe nume Umoja, locul în care bărbaţii sunt interzişi…
